IBS Diary

IBS Diary - many IBS sufferers write diaries about their day-to-day symptoms in order to track the patterns and improvements.

Devil in the Diet

Often times the most significant change in an IBS sufferer's symptoms, is the result of that person's daily diet. If a person consumes foods that are incompatible with them, more symptoms will creep up a few days later or even immediately.

Finding the Patterns

It is always a good idea to make note of the foods that you eat as well as the symptoms that you experience on a day-to-day basis. This will help you to determine what types of foods are causing your symptoms to flare up.

Keeping Stress In-Check

It is also good to note the levels of stress that you encounter on a daily basis. This is because stress can affect the onset of your symptoms as well as the severity of your symptoms.

Understanding your Body Well

For myself, I have documented my symptoms on a daily basis when I was tackling this condition. I was able to determine what food or stress levels would cause my symptoms to flare up as well as the severity of the symptoms.

New Food Allergies

I noticed that foods containing milk or wheat were causing my symptoms to flare up. Milk caused immediate reactions whereas wheat triggered my symptoms to be present, a few days later. My diary helped me to pinpoint and connect the type of foods that I consumed, with the patterns of my symptoms.
