Mucous Colitis

Mucous Colitis - Do you have inflammation in your intestines?

The Ambiguity of Intestinal Inflammation

Many IBS sufferers do not have a good understanding if their intestines are truly inflamed or if it is just gas trapped in the gut. Sometimes it can even be hard stool moving too quickly or slowly in your intestines.

Reveal the Truth

One test that can tell if you have inflammation in your intestines, is a stool test. This type of test is done from a private lab instead of a public one. Most of the regular health care systems do not have such detailed tests to detect traces of inflammation in the gut.

Warning Signs of Mucous

The amounts of mucous in the gut can also determine if your gut is facing unbalanced bacteria issues. The gut should have leveled mucous amounts in the gut, however when the bacteria is unbalanced, the mucous amounts often increases to the point where a bowel movement may show mucous.

Food Intolerances

Often a person's diet can affect the lining of an IBS sufferer's intestinal tract. This is because an IBS sufferer has a much more sensitive gut and certain foods can truly irritate the lining and cause symptoms to surface.

Validate the Situation

Before automatically determining your own diagnosis as to whether you have IBS or not, it is important to have a physician conclude that you have IBS. After the conclusion with IBS, it would then be relatively safe to start following the tips on how to improve the strength of the gut by consuming foods that are IBS friendly.

As your body begins to strengthen through the health of your gut, your overall health and energy levels will start to be on the rise as well.
