Cilansetron - A product that provides relief to IBS patients (men and women) with predominant diarrhea







  • What symptoms are relieved by this product?

    The product contains 5HT-3 antagonist which is meant to block the nervous signals from engaging these receptors. It will help to relax your nervous system to decrease your number of bowel movements.


  • How effective is the product towards the symptoms?

    When taken, this product can cut-down the number of times you have a bowel movement. However this product needs to be taken indefinitely to produce the same daily effects that this drug is meant to assist with.


  • What is the recommended duration of use for this product?

    This product is to be taken on a daily basis. Once the product is stopped, the results will also take the same stance and stop too. Due to the effect of providing temporary relief, it should not be taken for more than 30 days.


  • Are there any side-effects during and after product usage?

    The most common side effect experienced by patients is constipation. Once the drug has been stopped, the constipation with revert back to the same regularity you were at previous to taking the drug.


  • Are the results permanent after the product usage has stopped?

Cilansetron is a product that is produced by Solvay. This company has had problems with the FDA after licensing the drug Lotronex.

This product is currently intended to hit the shelves in the UK and EU. Their application to the FDA to make this product available in the USA has been withdrawn.

Due to the temporary effect of the drug, I would not recommend taking this product unless you absolutely need temporary relief for your diarrhea. Imodium is a product that is widely available at your local stores and will do the same job that this product can to provide temporary relief.
