Dinner IBS Recipe Five




This Dinner IBS Recipe Five is a delightful IBS friendly diet to be served on the fifth day of the 1st week.


Plum Glazed Pork Chop - Serves 1

IBS Plum Glazed Pork Chop Dinner



Ingredients:

1 teaspoon butter
1 (4-oz.) boneless center-cut loin pork chop (approx. 1/2 inch thick)
Salt; to taste
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Cooking spray
1/4 garlic clove, minced
1/4 tablespoon shallot, chopped
2 tablespoons plum preserves
1/2 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped



Preparation:

Pre-heat a small skillet over med-high heat. Add the butter. Wait until it melts. Season the pork chop with salt & pepper. Place the pork chop in the pan. Cook for about 4 minutes on each side. Remove from the pan. Coat pan with cooking spray. Add the garlic and shallot. Sauté for about 30 seconds. Add the plum preserves. Cook for about 30 seconds, stirring repeatedly. Return the pork chop to the pan. Cook for about 30 seconds on each side or until cooked through. Remove the pork chop and place on a plate. Sprinkle with the parsley. Season to taste. Serve immediately.
