Pain Management – Handle the pain effectively with the many techniques that are provided.

The Typical Pain Response

When you experience pain in your gut, it is important to understand how the pain came about. The pain can be sharp or persistent, resulting in a sufferer’s antisocial behaviour. If you feel pain, it is likely that you will sit around and hope for the pain to subside.

Often times with IBS, it continues for a lengthy period of time and it occurs frequently. So to effectively manage the pain, many choose to take Aspirin or Tyenol which are known medications from the local drugstore to help provide pain relief.

Short Lasting Effects

The pain relief from these over-the-counter medications, are short term and last only for the duration of the dosage. It basically dampens your pain receptors and your sensitivity to pain, resulting in a sensation of pain relief.

A Long-Term Solution

A much longer-term solution that not only helps with the severe and constant pain, but the likelihood of it reoccurring, is Acupuncture. This technique has been used for centuries and have been known to effectively treat many types of symptoms and one of the primary ones it focuses on, is pain.

Resynchronizing the Body

With Acupuncture, it aims to work on the body’s central nervous system and more importantly, to balance your body’s rhythm. This essentially helps the body to work effectively without allowing the gut to work too aggressively or too slowly.

Schedule Recurring Treatments for Best Results

It is recommended to see an Acupuncturist for at least 4 to 5 treatments before you will start to notice a high level of difference in your pain levels. In fact for many, after the first treatment, they may notice other symptoms such as nervousness or bowel movements, become much more normal. Seek a qualified Acupuncturist that has a strong background in this technique to help with your IBS pain symptoms.
