Spastic Bowel – When your gut has abnormal contractions, it can truly affect your quality of life.
Loss of Nutrient Absorption
When contractions occur, it can lead to diarrhea or a feeling of urgency. When the feeling of urgency comes about, what may occur in the gut, is that the nutrients may not yet have been fully absorbed from the broken down food in your gut, but the bowels are pushing abnormally and ultimately a watery bowel movement occurs.
Experiences of Pain
Other symptoms of a spastic gut, is that stomach or gut pains can often be experienced as a result. It is tough to manage as the pain can flare up at times in which you do not expect it, resulting in a ruined event or the need to withdrawal from a social activity.
The Gut Imbalance
For Irritable Bowel Syndrome sufferers, the reason that their bowel is having spasms, is because their gut either has an abundance of yeast or bacteria. This can lead to a variety of digestive problems such as bloating, spastic gut, diarrhea, constipation, gut pain, etc.
Use Caution with Antibiotics
Before you begin to request for antibiotics, it is important to first speak to your physician to understand if this is the right solution for you. Occasionally, people are incorrectly diagnosed with the Irritable Bowel Syndrome condition, so it is important for a physician to monitor the results as you follow a treatment program.

The Originating Causes of IBS
The root cause of having the Irritable Bowel Syndrome condition is because of a history of poor diet and/or the use of medications such as antibiotics. A poor diet and/or the use of antibiotics can lead to yeast overgrowth and/or a bacterial imbalance. Antibiotics often kill both beneficial and targeted bacteria.
Rebalancing the Gut
It is important to follow a regimen that replenishes beneficial bacteria in your gut after you have been treated with a dose of antibiotics. This will help to maintain a healthy equilibrium of bacteria and yeast in your gut.
